My father Angelo has a very simplistic take when it comes to making wine as he often says, “Son, since it is made from fruit, well, heck, it should taste like fruit” and you know it is hard to argue with his old time logic and sensibility. So with that in mind, our wines offer a true signature of the Stags Leap District by growing grapes full of fruit flavors and character, with temperate sun adding rich and subtle tannins. In the cellar we recognize these attributes and encourage them, letting nature do most of the work but applying a guiding hand when needed. Picking a flavorful berry, pressing when the wine comes into balance, and using quality oak that compliments and completes the wine exemplify a winemaking philosophy that is based on a partnership with nature. Our respect for the land and its product is evident in every glass.
