2007 Angelo's Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2007 Angelo’s Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was very tight when first opened, but definitely rewarded when left to breathe for about 2-4 hours. It has great fruit purity with loads of black and blueberry, anise seed, dark chocolate and coffee bean. On the palate it smoothed out as the wine opened up, but still maintained the classic Angelo’s power. The wine has great balance and complexity and great depth of flavor on the palate. We feel that it should continue to age gracefully or be given ample time to open up before enjoying.

2008 Angelo's Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2008 vintage lands with a resounding ‘thump’ in every Angelo’s bottle. The big, bold, characterful nose fuming with licorice, cedar, cured tobacco leaf, black olives, it’s all in there – how can you limit the description? The mouth feel is rich, warm and lush with layers of black fruit, dark chocolate, cola and glazed brown sugar. This vintage has many similarities with the outstanding 2004 Angelo’s, which means it has only just taken the first step of a long and rewarding aging journey.

2009 Angelo's Cabernet Sauvignon
Our 4-acre hillside vineyard is always low-yielding and that’s its strong suit; producing rich concentrated fruit that plays beautifully off the more balanced acidity that was prevalent in 2009.  A bold, characterful nose is fuming with licorice, cedar, cured tobacco leaf, and black olives – how’s that for a nose-full? A silky and lush mouth-feel follows with layers of black fruit, chocolate, cola and glazed brown sugar.

2010 Angelo's Cabernet Sauvignon
Hillside vineyards provide a more stressful growing environment for vines, resulting in lower yields and bigger, riper flavors – and our four acre Angelo’s Hillside Vineyard delivers the concentrated 2010 vintage in abundance. Bold, masculine, aromas of cedar, currant, wood smoke, earth and dark toast hammer at your nose, throwing down the challenge to tip the glass. The surprisingly lush mouth feel yields layers of ripe current, black tea, chalky and dark chocolaty tannins, with a cherry finish that has a mercurial lingering, drawing you into experiencing it all over again. As always, Angelo’s will mature with authority over the next fifteen years but would be the perfect partner to a rib-eye off the grill tonight.
